Dr. Wang Huaying Secures National Science Fund Grant

Nanchang, Aug 27, 2025 — The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) on Tuesday released its 2025 annual grant list. Dr. Wang Huaying’s project “Win-Win Pathways and Gain-Spread Mechanisms of Workplace Interpersonal Capitalization ” was approved, marking the first NSFC grant ever won by the School of Foreign Languages at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE).

The project looks at how employees build and keep positive mental resources through interpersonal capitalisation in organisations. It also explores how these resources trigger mutual benefit and spread from individuals to the group, turning personal strengths into collective growth. The findings are expected to offer practical strategies for improving workers’ well-being, upgrading modern enterprise management and smoothing cross-cultural interaction.

Dr. Wang’s breakthrough in securing the National Science Foundation grant not only signals the School’s steadily rising research strength but also offers a living snapshot of its faculty: passionate, tireless and unwilling to settle. Grounded in a sense of duty and driven by persistence, they fought through a fiercely competitive field to claim a place on the national list. The award is both recognition of past effort and a powerful spur for the next steps on their research journey.

For the school, the win is a milestone that provides new ideas and new perspectives for future national project applications. The school will seize the moment to organise more exchanges and workshops on national grant application, actively break disciplinary barriers, strengthen cross-links between foreign-language studies and the university’s strong and frontier disciplines, and build a new “Foreign language +” research model. At the same time, the school will keep its focus on major national economic and social needs, stay open and determined, nurture more high-quality projects and strive for further success in national grant competitions, so as to advance the deep integration and joint development of high-level research projects and social service value.
