About Academic Disciplines Guided by our discipline planning, we know clearly that there are things must be done and things must not be done. In recent years, our greater efforts to conduct the hard scientific research have proved productive, which can be found in our achievement of gratifying results. We have published more than 100 research papers in flagship journals, such as Chinese Translators Journal, Contemporary Linguistics and many others. More than 50 provincial and ministerial research projects have been completed, 4 academic monographs published, along with 7 translated works and more than 10 textbooks. We have won 10 provincial awards for outstanding research, the first prize and the second prize for excellent teaching materials. The school is currently taking on a total of 60 research projects, three of which are supported by the National Social Sciences Fund and four of them by Humanities and Social Sciences Funds of the Ministry of Education. The research project also includes the College English special research project pertaining to “the National Eleventh Five-Year Educational Plan”. In addition, we have edited two textbooks included in “the Eleventh-five Year Plan” of the institutions of higher education of the Ministry of Education.
