Brief Profiles of the School’s Current Leadership Dean, School of Foreign Languages: Wan Yina Ms. Wan exercises overall executive work. She is in charge of undergraduate and graduate education, disciplinary and programme development, talent building, social outreach (language-service capacity), and financial management. Under the principle of “shared Party-administration accountability,” she and the Party Secretary together answer for discipline construction, graduate employment, and campus safety. Secretary, the CPC Committee, SFL: Juebin Lu Mr. Lu, Secretary of the CPC Committee at SFL, presides over all Party affairs. He is responsible for Party construction, ideological and political education, student recruitment, graduate employment, and ideological security. In line with the principle of “shared Party-administration responsibility,” he and the Dean together answer for Party building, discipline development, graduate employment, and campus safety. He personally directs Party building, ideological work, and student employment programs. Vice-Secretary, the CPC Committee, SFL: Yangqu Cheng Mr. Cheng, Vice-Secretary of the CPC Committee at SFL, is entrusted with discipline inspection, united-front work, trade-union affairs, youth-league and student activities, campus-wide stability management, publicity, asset administration, and ideological-political education. He directly supervises the College Administrative Office and the Student Affairs Office (including the Youth League Committee). Vice Dean: Shanjun Zhang Mr. Zhang is charged with undergraduate education, International cooperation and exchanges, faculty development, student disciplinary competitions, laboratory construction. He directly supervises the Undergraduate Education Affairs Office and maintains liaison with the Business English Department and College English Teaching Unit II. Vice Dean: Jingping Du Mr. Du is responsible for graduate education, discipline building and development, scientific research, library resources, and social services (notably externally-funded projects).
