Strategic Partnerships Established between SFL and Jiangxi Tourism Association and Jiangxi Heyi International Travel Agency

On the afternoon of May 15th, the School of Foreign Language signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Jiangxi Provincial Tourism Association and a joint agreement to build an internship and training base with Jiangxi Heyi International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. This collaboration aims to deepen the integration of industry and education integration and launch a new phase of joint development. Attendees included Wan Kai, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the Jiangxi Tourism Association; Xu Xiaoyuan, Vice President of the association and Secretary-General Manager of Heyi International Travel Agency; as well as school leaders Zhang Xifeng, Party Committee Secretary Lu Juebin, Deputy Secretary Cheng Yangqu, and Vice Dean Du Jingping.

Wan Kai highlighted the growth prospects of inbound tourism, emphasizing that foreign language talents are vital to cultural and tourism development. He expressed hope to align academic resources with industry needs to enhance international service standards and boost Jiangxi’s global cultural tourism profile.

Dean Zhang Xifeng outlined the schools academic programs and talent development efforts, while actively listening to industry demands. She stressed the importance of leveraging shared resources to promote industry-education collaboration, improve translation standardization for international promotion, and cultivate versatile foreign language professionals for Jiangxi’s cultural tourism sector.

Secretary Lu Juebin reaffirmed the school’s commitment to the partnership, noting students’ need for practical training opportunities. He called for complementary strengths and enhanced communication to support internships, employment, and the cultivation of high-level talents for societal needs.

Prior to the signing ceremony, Xu Xiaoyuan, discussed cooperation details, industry trends, and talent requirements, expressing strong enthusiasm for the collaboration.

Representatives from local enterprises, including Cheng Hui (General Manager of Nanchang Jinyi Hotel), Zheng Chunhua (General Manager of Tainake Hotel), and Wang Ye (General Manager of Ganjiang Culture Co., Ltd.), attended the meeting and witnessed the signing ceremony.

This partnership exemplifies the school’s proactive role in serving national and provincial strategies. Against the backdrop of China’s push for deeper cultural-tourism integration, the collaboration leverages mutual strengths to inject innovation into national cultural tourism initiatives and regional industry upgrades. By establishing an integrated industry-academia-research-application talent development system, it aligns closely with provincial talent demands. The cooperation also creates a new platform for optimizing resources, deepening educational excellence, and advancing high-quality development. It marks a milestone in government-university-enterprise collaboration to build a stronger cultural tourism sector and drive regional socio-economic progress.
