On November 3rd, the 15th College Students' English and the 2nd Japanese Translation Competition Finals in Jiangxi Province, sponsored by Translators’ Association of Jiangxi, were held in Nanchang University. JUFE selected 17 students to participate in the competition. And it achieved the best results since it began to participate in the competition. In the English translation final, LiHongchengand LiZiqinwon the top prize respectively. Zhou Yu, Zhong Rui and LiWentingwon the second prize. WangKangpo, SuJinyin, LuNianhong, Xiao Lu, LinGuiqiand DaiHuijiawon the third prize. In the Japanese translation final, Wang Wei won the first prize and Li Ying won the second prize respectively. At the same time, JUFE were awarded excellent organizationaward.
104 students from 19 colleges and universities entered for the competition. Contestants were required to finish two types of questions: Chinese-English translation and English-Chinese translation and submit their translations within 150 minutes. All the translations were reviewed by experts.In ordertoachieve a great result in thecompetition, teachers of JUFE such as Tao Ping, LiuLiqiongand Zhang Pingping actively organized the preliminary in school and carefully trained students, ensuring the students of JUFE could stand out among all theparticipants.
