On the afternoon of September 7, the School of Foreign Languages of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics coordinated and convened a meeting of freshmen’s parents, in order to build a good bridge for home-school communication, form a joint comprehensive force of educational management, and create a good educational atmosphere.

The participants are as follows: Dean Zhang Xifeng, Party secretary Tu Yuanwu, deputy Party secretary Zuo Jiasheng, vice dean Zhang Shanjun, vice dean Tu Niangen, vice dean Du Jingping, director of Business English Department Wang Liyuan, secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee Yi Zheng, college counselor Sun Wenna, the head teacher of the freshmen Huang Yanhong, and more than ten parents of the freshmen majoring in business English. The meeting was presided over by Zuo Jiasheng, deputy Party secretary of the SFL.

On the behalf of the SFL in the meeting, Party secretary Tu Yuanwu extended the warm welcome and sincere congratulations to the freshmen and their parents. He hopes that in their future study and life, students can closely connect their growth with the development of the country and the progress of the society, and become the builders and of socialism with dreams , abilities and responsibilities.

Dean Zhang Xifeng briefly introduced to parents the long history of the SFL, profound teaching resources, outstanding educational achievements and integrated disciplinary features of the School of Foreign Languages. At the same time, she emphasized the unique cultivating method of the SFL, adopting small-class teaching mode to better promote the professional courses learning of the students in the school.

Vice dean Zhang Shanjun introduced the Business English program, educational philosophy and disciplinary resources of business English major, enabling the parents to have a deep understanding of the school and college.

Yi Zheng, secretary of Youth League Committee, briefly introduced the Youth League Committee and Student Union of the college to parents, emphasizing the importance of student cadre experience and encouraging the students to vigorously participate in various affairs of the school and classes, and grow and gain in practice.

Teacher Sun Wenna briefly introduced the school's further education and graduate employment as well as the scholarship and grant policies to parents.

During the question-and-answer session, the parents spoke actively and raised some questions about undergraduate learning. The school teachers answered these questions for the parents.
