On the morning of June 19, Yang Wenhui, Vice Dean of International Business English School (IBES) of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GUFS), Du Huanjun, Deputy Secretary, Han Jinbiao, Deputy Director of International Programs Center, and Fang Siyi, Counselor, came to our college for research and exchange. Zhang Xifeng, dean of our college, Zuo Jiasheng, deputy secretary, Zhang Shanjun, vice dean, Tu Niangen, vice dean, Du Jingping, vice dean, and Yi Zheng, secretary of the Youth League Committee, attended the meeting for research and exchange.

On behalf of the School of Foreign Languages (SFL), Zhang Xifeng welcomed the arrival of the delegation from IBES of GUFS and introduced the overall situation of the college. Zhang Xifeng said that the business English of GUFS is a benchmark among the majors, and although the business English major of our school also reached the 27th place among the 221 universities which offer Business English program in 2024 ShanghaiRanking, there is still a big gap between SFL and IBES. We hope to strengthen the relationship, exchange ideas, and seek the opportunity for development. Zuo Jiasheng, Zhang Shanjun, Tu Niangen, Du Jingping and other leaders of the institute made a detailed introduction around student work, foreign language teaching, Business English program construction, postgraduate education and internationalization.

      Yang Wenhui and Du Huanjun expressed their gratitude for the hospitality and interactive sharing of our institute, and shared their ideas on the history of the School of International Business English of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, undergraduate program, talent cultivation, graduate employment, etc. They also shared their postgraduate education and master's degree programs of prestigious Australian universities. Yang Wenhui said that the students from JUFE are very excellent and hoped to recruit JUFE students in the future summer camp.

   The two sides improved understanding through exchanges and reached a consensus on faculty training, discipline construction, student training and other aspects.
