Students from SFL Win Awards in the 19th "Chinese-Japanese Essay Contest"

In the recently announced results of the contest, Zhou Fen, a student majoring in Japanese from the Class of 2022, won the Third Prize, while Wu Yan, Shi Ning, Zhang Shuhan, and Fang Junfei, students of Class 2020 all won the Masterpiece Award, thanks to the meticulous guidance of foreign tutor Suzuki Koki.

The contest is a prestigious international event organized by the Japan-China Exchange Institute of Overseas Japanese Newspaper, and co-organized by the Embassy of Japan in China, Asahi Shimbun Japan, People's Daily, and China-Japan Friendship Association. Since 2005, the contest has been held for 19 consecutive years. The contest received a total of 2,376 entries from 155 universities, graduate schools, colleges and high schools across China. After four months of rigorous evaluation by experts, the five winning students finally stood out by virtue of their clear logic and profound views, and were honored with the Third Prize and the Masterpiece Award respectively.

The five award-winning students have expressed their gratitude for the recognition and their appreciation for the dedicated guidance provided by their tutor-Suzuki Koki. They have also acknowledged their own deficiencies in writing and expressed their commitment to constant practice to enhance their writing skills.

These remarkable achievements reflect SFL's commitment to nurturing well-rounded students. We are looking forward to seeing our students to continue their success in next year's contest.
