The Department of Asian-European Languages has currently seven full-time teachers and a full-time Japanese teacher, each of whom is responsible for teaching the language-related courses of Japanese, French or Russian. The construction of four-year undergraduate Japanese programme has taken the lead among programmes of its kind in the provincial colleges and universities. Students made excellent performance in Japanese Language Proficiency Test, Level One and Chinese Students’ Japanese Writing Contest. The department has also established the cooperative programmes with OkayamaShokaUniversity and RitsumeikanUniversity.
